Como poeta que ya lo era,
Decidió crear una canción,
Y escribió con música en mente,
Lo que fue el Himno de ésta Nación.

Le fue fácil escribirlo, no porque era poeta,
Y no sólo porque su país lo llenaba de emoción;
Tampoco fue porque la islita bella inspira a cualquiera,
Pero fue porque el Borinquen vivía en su corazón.

Esta es mi propia versión de como se creó el Himno de Puerto Rico (“La Borinqueña”), el cual es acreditado a Manuel Fernández Juncos en 1903.

Lo dedico a Puerto Rico entero, y a toda su Gran Gente que ama su Pequeña Islita.
Ese amor, se lleva en el corazón, donde quiera que uno esté, por tan distante que sea.

…nació de los polvos lejanos,
Creció a Dios muy cercano,
Aprendió de sus primos hermanos,
Con cálido amor a traves de los años.

Siempre soñó desde pequeño, a todos servirle,
Pues desde muy temprana edad, contaba con mucha energía.
Así que día tras día, nunca se cansó de a Dios pedirle,
Que le diera una oportunidad de iluminar con su vida.

Dios con su sabiduría, sí muy claro sabía,
De su cálido corazón que tan rápido crecía.
Siempre determinado a hacer lo que tanto quería,
E incansable que siempre fue, nunca dormía.

Pensando en ninguna otra cosa que lo que muy bien ya hacía,
Siguió pidiéndole a Dios -día tras día,
En tener una misión en la que algún día emprendería,
Y prometió de darle su amor, a aquellos que tuvieran vida.

Propuso crear un horizonte en donde todavía no existía,
Sin ningún miedo de ir a un lugar que aún no conocía,
Y ofrecerlo -sin falta- a los necesitados de energía,
Para iluminar el paso a aquellos en su vida.

Entonces Dios le asignó un lugar, en el cual lo puso solito en aquella era,
Y le confió una responsabilidad que hasta el momento, en el Universo no había.
Solito en su esquina, calentaba sin cesar, esperando por que la primera vida apareciera.
Y por tan Solito en tanta distancia, su nombre entonces fue “El Sol”, porque pequeño ya no era.

Let’s ask ourselves, answering firmly and without hesitation – and with all sincerity, as the doubt vanishes the essence of the purpose, and dishonesty destroys nations, friendships, families, and ourselves;

Let’s set an ebarkment towards what is considered impossible, not just open opportunities to what has already been done;

Let’s hope for what Will definitely happen, as the sense of doubt makes a huge difference between reality and nonexistence;

Let’s not give it the benefit of the doubt, let’s take the doubt away from the benefits;

Let’s leave the options open, and ask ourselves The Question – but where the only answer is YES;

Because NO is just a distraction – a Test we get put through – one that we take over and over, as if we had never seen or heard of it;

Let’s stop making excuses, as they are only tickets that buy us extra time, but time is limited, and the least thing we can ever buy;

Aim for everything, so that if you fall short and out of breath, you still catch Something,

As the last time I heard, Something was still better than Nothing;

But focus on Something, as Everything will otherwise spread yourself too thin;

Let’s try it. …For a lifetime!

…Before you know it – you have already done it – over and over again, and know it, as we ourselves know our own name.

…It covers areas throughout the entire Universe, and It has the ability or potential to reach every corner of the Universe at any time, in any amounts, although such events are normally not known in advance.

Yet, it does not take away from anything, nor does it occupies any space – or at least, it is thought as being that way.

It’s name has been repeated trillions of times – if not more!  Every fraction of a second It is being referred to.

In fact, It has been called by It’s name so many times, that we don’t even think of it consciously, unless we feel like including It in our miseries.

We use It all the time, but we don’t consider It to have much value, technically – none!

To the point of that we have come to make It nothing and consider It nothing – not giving It any recognition.

And we do that so much, that while It’s often around us at any given time, we cannot see It, we mention It often – but most often, it is our unconsciousness the one that thinks of It.

However, sometimes, It is all we have in our minds.

Where is It at?  It is everywhere but nowhere to be found.

It must exist, and It does, as It has a very important role in the Universe, but It’s really never there or anywhere else.

Calling It Everything is very inaccurate;

Calling It Something is totally an opposition;

Calling It Huge is an understatement because It’s even larger than that;

Yet calling It Small is pretty close.

We may come to believe that giving It no name, should be understood by It – because of It’s nature;

But just calling It nothing as in giving it no name – is an insult,

As for It’s name by what we know it as, is “Nothing”.

*Note:  This is an “Amateur” work, written rather quickly and spontaneous about a subject I just thought of. I never read books, poems, or do anything like this in my profession, and I always avoided in school and college – anything having to do with poetry, literature, articles, etc. And I do not ever write my thoughts on paper or computer files. But today, I decided to do something else different in my life – once again, like I have been doing especially in the last couple of years, which has turned out much better for me. So for the first time ever, I decided to not only write, but to also publish it online. Where did I learn to write? That is the question of the 20,000 Pennies! …And by the way, I am a College Dropout, self-made Entrepreneur and Artist, self-made Programmer and Web Designer, and self-made pretty-much everything else – so if that serves you as inspiration, I’m glad it can help …So keep all of this in mind before judging a “newbie”!

…In looking to write about Something, I came up with something about Nothing!
