At age 16, I became fascinated with impressionism, after opening a book of paintings by Claude Monet. As a kid, I took some old oil paints that my father had given me as a gift, and out of curiosity, I went ahead and painted copies of a 4 of my favorites from Claude Monet. All 4 were made at age 16, pretty much one after the other one. The one shown on this page is one of those 4.
